That sounds like a great time. I'm a non-drinker, but I was
considering maybe trying drinking, since I have some local spirit
from each country I've visited. I was thinking I might start with
my Mexican Tequila, is that a good move? :o)
To clarify though, I like the 'science' of cocktails and special
drinks that not many people understand properly. Tequila interests
me because a) people think it should have a worm, but that's
Mezcal, and b) people think the proper way to drink it is with salt
and lime, when the 'real' way to drink it is like a whiskey.
People think it's strange that someone that only drinks orange
juice knows things like that :o)
@dsample: Actually the
traditional way to drink tequila is with a side of "sangrita",
which is a chilled mixture of tomato juice, citrus juice (lime,
orange, or grapefruit), salt, and chili sauce.
The sangrita is not a "chaser" (that is, you don't do
"shots"), but you take alternating sips from the tequila and the
sangrita, enjoying the contrasting flavors of each.

I don't like tequila, and I know the mexicans will tell me it's because I haven't had the good stuff.

Seriously, I see lots of gringos get rowdy at the Expo, but anyone who comes with me has to stay civilized. :)

But you're right about the worm! :)
